My second day in KL

Chinese dishes with my CS friend Mag in KL

Today is my second day. Last night I promised myself before sleeping, I will wake up early in the morning because to see the KL Petronas Tower one should be reached there around 6 or 6.30 am. As usual my alarm clock started to ring at 6 am. My clock is always faithful & punctual on time. No matter what it never stops ringing in morning once I set the alarm but It’s me who is the main culprit. To go there what one has to do in the wee hour of morning it is mammoth task. I can conquer some 4000m Base camp at any given time but to prepare myself to reach there or what I need to do, just thinking of that I fall in sleep again.
Gosh it’s 8 am. Suddenly jump off from my dorm bed & rush to washroom. I prepared myself within 15 mins. Literally runs to subway. Once I reached there it was full of people waiting in queue. Almost similar to Indian temple where devotees wait for their turn to see or worship their God & Goddess. After standing in queue almost for 3 hours, One teenager from Iran approached me to do me favor to arrange tickets for his family. He just had one coupon like every one of us where it is clearly hand written 1 person for entry. I said how many people in your family want to enter. He said we are 7. Then I turned my head back & nodded my heads to them. I said what will you do for rest of six. Because only 1 person can enter with this hand written slip. He said I will ask other persons those are standing in queue. I said I can try some tricks for your family. Let’s see whether it works?
What I did…. I overwrite 1 to 7. My job is done. Entire family is happy. Specially those little members of his family. May be his 5  & 7 year old brother & sister. I watched their eyes with full of Joys. Something they got unexpectedly.
We humans sometime forget to see those smiles in their beautiful & joyful  eyes .It is simply priceless.
I heard “Sukriya” in joyful voice, which means thanks.
My scheduled time to visit here around 4.20pm. Still 4 hours in hand.
So I went to see Aquaria. It is giant aquarium where inside you can see much marine life. So I was wondering around there suddenly my phone started to ring. It was a voice of unknown woman. After having conversation I came to know she is one of CSER from KL. I am invited to have lunch with her & her family. So I went to subway to catch them. When I reached there, entire family is waiting for me. After initial introduction to each other we headed to find some authentic Chinese cuisine.
What a lovely country it is. I was quite impressed to see their hospitality. From her mother also. After having delicious lunch with shredded pork I was fully satisfied. It was too good. I skipped my breakfast in morning due to rush. Mag insisted hard not to pay me for lunch. She paid the bill for me. What a kind gesture towards me. Living in world would be much better if we have similar kind of mentality for each other. We hardly know each other through couch surfing. Couch surfing is great platform to bring us unite in unknown places. I was again shocked to have such a nice offer from my CS friend Mag. She is willing to take me in car with her family to see The Batu Caves. After 30 mins of drive we finally reached there.
I was thinking in early morning in my bed to climb up 4000m base camp at any given time. What a coincidence…Time has arrived just now. I mean not to climb up in 4000M High Mountain but 272 steps to reach at the top. After having heavy lunch the task is almost similar to me.
Lord Murugan Statue outside Batu Caves
I don’t know where little children store their energy. It must be smarter technology God used compare to our present Nuclear energy plants in this world. Mag’s children arrived at top of the cave much earlier than me. After reaching at top when I saw the surrounding place down there, It was breathless. What a magnificent view. After visiting the Batu Caves, again Mag offered me to drop nearby subway so I can reach KL to see the PETRONAS Tower on time.  I thanked her wholeheartedly for her kind & nice hospitality.I said bye to her & her family.

So I reached finally on time. It was full of tensed moment for me. Finally I put my step inside the lift. Our journey completed in 40 seconds on 42nd Floor. People are busy to capture that special moment inside the tower. But my eyes got stuck over 2 little kids. One just started to walk but still unable to talk. After getting down from her mother’s arm. He starts slowly exploring with his small footstep his own fairy kingdom. His elder brother is with him. As usual my camera lens took time to capture their candid moments.
It was splendid view to see the KL city from 42nd floor. Only restriction of time bound us to get down there. After seeing Kl tower I headed to KLCC Surya Tower to catch subway train.
We need to take lift to reach the train from inside. Within a second it filled up with people. I have seen enough crowds in India. So it is quite common for me. Anyway I pushed myself inside the lift. Once I get in I saw one beautiful young Malay girl just in front of me. I smiled at her.
My weight is less than 70kg. But lift started making noise not to carry us. I was the last person who entered inside the lift, so I moved back from lift. Now it is again making alarm. Now it is time for that beautiful Malay girl to get out from the lift which she did finally. We are only 2 left from the crowd.  We started to laugh loudly like children. After initial introduction we said bye to each other. Now it is time to return to my hostel. On the way to hostel I enjoyed buffet of Chinese dishes for dinner. God it was good day so far…

My First day in SE ASIA

Today it was my first day in South East Asia. I reached early morning in Kuala lumpur.  It is nice clean city with skyscrapers. After finishing my breakfast at the airport then I headed towards my hostel. Bus Fare is 8RM .Reached at KL central. From there picked up Rapid KL train to reach my hostel. Just one stop after I reached Pesar Sani.  After that I reached at Chinatown. This is largely populated by Chinese.  Things are cheaper in here. After quickly check in to my hostel, I bought the ticket for HOP IN & HOP OUT to see KL city.  This concept is quite similar to New Delhi.

My first destination is national museum. Here we can get to know the entire history of Malaysia. After getting out of from Museum, suddenly my eyes got stuck to see 2 rare species of Python. One  with yellow skin & another is black. The owner of these 2 snakes approached us with huge smile.
Owner: Good morning Sir!
SIDD: GM, How are you doing?
Owner: Doing fine, Do you wanna take a picture with this beauty wrapping around your body?
SIDD: I guess no…. hesitantly!
(But my other German friends insisted me to do that all together. So we don’t have to take each shot individually with this beauty without paying extra. I reluctantly agreed with them. Although some warm fluid started to flow from my spine. No it is not adrenalin rush. Just sheer sense of anxiety & fear I guess. )
Here we go. After accumulating all my courage from my childhood I step forward to touch this beauty. My other friends also joined with me.  Whether is it my luck or bad luck on that day? The beautiful face of that lady comes to my side. What the heck?? After getting familiar with human hot blood her cold blood started to flow heavily. Her strong desire to kiss a bachelor man like me started weakens my knee.
Owner: Smile sir J Say Cheese.
SIDD: OK. Do it faster..please. I already knew how I will look before getting clicked. I can’t believe my all friends started to jump after the snap leaving me alone with this beauty. I know how I managed. Anyway my heart already gets back to proper position inside my body from my mouth. Relieved..No more pictures again for my rest of life with such kind of beauty.
From there moved to another place. Destination is bird’s Park & orchid garden. After seeing that finally reached at Dataran Merdeka. Almost 421 meters long telecom tower with revolving restaurant on top. No couldn’t reach there due to expensive ticket price. Backpackers like me or anybody else find it difficult to spend their money to dine there.  Then rush towards the bus stop to catch that bus. After waiting for 30 minutes I came to know that I missed the last bus. How cool it is. Last night I had sleepless night in plane, now I started to feel more tired after full day city tour.
There have only one way. Yes my trusted legs. Then I started to walk from there. All of a sudden I can’t believe my eyes. It is like seeing God in front of my naked eyes. I saw “that last bus”. I started to jump with full of excitement. There was a proverb “All's well is that ends well”. Almost I jumped quickly to get inside of “that last bus”. Finally I reached my hostel. Not a bad day to start with in SE ASIA.
